Amazon.co.uk review
Stunning tropical scenery and gorgeous athletic movie stars may not make a movie great, but they sure don't hurt. Jared (Paul Walker, The Fast and the Furious) dreams of finding sunken treasure and making millions, but his girlfriend Sam (Jessica Alba, Fantastic Four, Sin City) is content with their poor but idyllic life in the Bahamas. Still, when they find artefacts from a 19th century pirate ship, she gets caught up in the excitement--until they also find a crashed plane full of smuggled cocaine. Naturally, someone's going to want that cocaine back... From there, Into the Blue is a surprisingly well-plotted action film, unpredictable in its specifics if familiar in its broader outlines. Even more pleasant, the action itself stays plausible and genuinely engaging throughout. Jared seems able to hold his breath for a preternaturally long time, but aside from that the film is meticulous about the dangers and threats the characters face and is all the stronger for it. Add to this its unabashed ogling of Alba and Walker (both of whom are astonishing physical specimens) and you have a solid romp. Also featuring Scott Caan (Ocean's Eleven), Tyson Beckford (Biker Boyz), and Josh Brolin (Flirting With Disaster) as a slimy rival treasure hunter. --Bret Fetzer

Cool, sexy action film! March 12, 2006 DVD Fan (london, United Kingdom) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Into the blue didn't get great reviews at the cinema but from the trailers I sa it looked ok so I thought I'd rent it. I'm glad I did. It's one of the best action films I've seen in a while. It has some good actors, plenty of eye candy for the boys....and girls! A good story with a few plot twists and a great exotic location. The story follows Paul Walkers character as he tries to make ends meet diving for lost treasure. After a storm he discovers a potential wreck site, but also discovers a crashed plane with an equal valuable cargo of drugs. Along with his friends he faces a battle of morals about what to do. When the owner of the drugs comes looking for his missing shipment things get even more tense! This is an easy film to get into, with plenty of action, a good story, beautiful locations, some great underwater shots of Sharks and sexy women in bikinis! Although not hard to follow it does have some twists and turns towards the end. Much better than most recent action films. The DVD has 10 deleted scenes, nothing to major to the story line. A 20 minute making of feature brief interviews with the main cast and director, also looking at the location, underwater filming etc. Also screen tests and trailers inc the remake of The Fog. Overall a great package 9/10
BrIlliant BRILLIANT Film June 1, 2006 Ms. L. K. Muschamp (UK) 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
This film is excellent, ok so maybe its not an amazing story line but it has got something for everyone. If you like action, it has that, Romance- it has that too, it has the good guys and bad guys an english gangsta! I really think this film has something for everyone.
The acting i guess isnt everything but it doesnt really affect the film, you get carried away with the beautiful scenery and ok Paul Walker does help!!!! You never quite know where its going either, there are a few twists i wasnt expecting.
This is the best film i have seen in a long time and have watched it at least 8 times! Its a film about taking on the baddies but you also see a young couple stick together through the odds!
I really do just think its great. And would tell anyone to buy it
JESSICA ALBA AND BLU RAY LOOK STUNNING!! July 10, 2009 Jason Thorne (England / Oxford) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Everybody know's Paul Walker from The Fast And The Furious films but in this he plays a totally different role which I think has been a very unrated film. I have slowly become a big fan of Paul Walker and in this he is very good along with Jessica Alba who does not need a introduction and is simply stunning. The story is good with plenty of underwater shots and some good action and a story which has a few twists and turns that keeps you watching to the end. The violence is nothing over the top it's just about right for this sort of film with a rating of 15 and over which going on todays standards is surprising. If you haven't bought a blu ray disc before you won't go to far wrong here the transfer is spot on and it will show your system off with some great underwater scenery etc. Moving on to Jessica Alba it's worth the purchase just to watch her in next to nothing swimming and running around she's looks amazing believe me, and of course there is a treat for the ladies with the young men showing off their six packs. If you enjoy this film in with Paul Walker try Running Scared or Road Kill a couple of his earlier films both very good in my opinion.

This film is awesome...a great action packed..thrilling film with a bit of romance and some excellent scenes of both jessica alba and paul walker..the scenery is no let down either.
The story covers how through their active lifes they discover an 18th century dagger worth heaps of money..but their mistake was taking his best friend and his girlfriend down with them..as a plane is discovered at the bottom of the ocean containing a mass of cocaine...walker's friends girlfriend is an addict which causes a rift between the 2 couples...as the friend want to take the cocaine.use it and sell it...but their discovery gets them in trouble as the cocaine belongs to someone... you can guess the rest!
Great film full of suprsises and great views excluding the scenery!
