The CD is excellent. My daughters, who are aged 4 & 7, and I listen to the stories again and again, particularly in the car. We all enjoy them and all have our favourites. There's a good mix of traditional and modern and the actors read them beautifully. As a result, we bought the one for 7 year olds which my older daughter and I also love (my younger daughter doesn't understand them so well). My girls are bilingual Spanish (first language) and English, and the stories are also a great help in building their listening and general language skills.

I would highly recommend this tape for any five year old who likes listening to stories. It has a good mixture of traditional and modern stories which my daughter has found both entertaining and interesting. Importantly the stories are well read, clear and easy to understand. I especially like the modern stories which are both relevant and true to life. Good buy.

Wonderful selection of stories perfect for a five year old. Stories aren't too twee, which is what I have found of stories for this age group in the past. Just scary enough in places to add a bit of interest, but not scary enough to keep your child awake all night. My child listened to this CD every night for a long time.

Bought for my 4 year old but 10 year old will listen as well. 4 year old loves it, especially The Special Trainers story. Well read with variety of accents and stories. 2 CD's. Going to buy the 8 year old one as well. As we use it at bedtime it has no scary stories!

Bought this for something to listen to at tea time and trying to bring the kids down into a nice relaxed frame of mind ready for bed.
The kids really enjoy them. The stories are well read - clear and animated.
A good buy - also good for the car. Sometime you just need them to have something to focus on - which is good for the kids and for mummy and daddy!!
