5 out of 5 stars Superb bass and top for noise isolation   December 15, 2009

These earbuds are astonishingly good value for their bass response and excellent noise isolation.

If you trim the foam pads properly and fit them right into your ear you will hear deep bass that you didn't know existed on many tracks.

When I mean deep bass, I don't mean the "humped" or "muffled" bass response curve that many earbuds give, I mean *really* stretching down to sub-sonic frequencies. Sometimes I can't believe the sound is through my ears and assume the ground is shaking.

For me this deep bass response is really important, your view may be different.

I have compared these with loads of other earbuds, (including Sennheiser, Creative, etc) and always come back to these.

BTW, I use these with a Sansa Fuze player which has a better low-frequency response than most other players (including most ipods).

4 out of 5 stars Very good value for the money   May 5, 2010

I have used more expensive ear phones, but they always fall out of your ear, these how ever stay in and give a good seal, and the sound quality is very, very good.
For the price you cannot fail to be impressed.

1 out of 5 stars Dreadful and shoddy   March 31, 2010

I bought these headphones on the strength of having bought 2 pairs of excellent Koss Porta Pro. I needed a lighter pair for a commute bicycle ride to work.

The first pair I bought had bad sound and stopped working after two months. I brought them back to the vendor and he changed them for a newer (white ) pair - still an awful sound and this time they lasted a month before one of the earphones failed - actually a connection near the mini - jack I think.

Hard to believe these shoddy excuses for headphones come from the same manufacturer.

1 out of 5 stars Unbelieveably rubbish!!   February 11, 2010

Having used the standard sony ericson in ear phones (bundled with phone) for a while i thought id upgrade. BIG MISTAKE.
The bass is overly heavy and the mids and highs sound extremely weak, flat, muffled and distant even with extreme equalizing. What a huge waste of money. No point even using as a back up. To top this off one of the foam ear pieces broke up on insertion to the ear. My 320kbps mp3s sound like 128s or less on these, completely defeating the purpose of high bit rate rips.
How the hell did koss think these were good enough to release?? Ill stick with my bundled SE phones for now. lets hope leaving them on for a few days at least makes them worth the £13 they cost me (doubt that will happen, there would need to be a radical change in sound to achieve even this).
